Rating my physical well-being, spiritual well-being,and psychological well-being is hard for me. I would have to say that my physical well-being is probably like a 6 out of 10 right now. I am in the process of losing weight and have lost 16 pounds so far, but I have more to go. I am not as active as I would like to be right now either. So I would say that I have improving to do with my physical well-being. My spiritual well-being I would have to rate at 8 out of 10. I am a very spiritual person, however I do have some improving to do here as well. I need to remember that God is in charge at all times and know that things happen for a reason. I do meditate and pray daily which helps me become better spiritually. My psychological well-being is a 10. I do not have any mental disorders that I am battling with right now. I am free from depression and other disorders.
To better my physical well-being I will become active at least 4 day a week. Being active for me means taking the dogs for a walk, riding my bike, or doing physical exercise. My goal for bettering my spiritual well-being is to go to church at least once a month, and remembering to turn my problems over to God and quit worrying so much.
Once again I turn on the relaxation exercise and there is that voice again. All I can do is shake my head and chuckle. This was another exercise I had to complete in my stress management class also. I cannot stand the fact that there is a pause in between most of the words. The ___ color____ violet_____ it is really annoying and does not help me relax in any way. I understand the need to speak slowly and calmly, however to pause in between every word is a little much. These are nothing but frustrating to me....

Unit 2 of Creating Wellness
Hello all and welcome to my blog. I hope you all enjoy reading my posts each week!
Honestly, every time I try and do one of these relaxation exercise it makes me laugh. When I was pregnant with my first child my dad decided he wanted to be my coach. We could not attend lamaze classes, but we did get a binder that had all different types of techniques to help calm you down during the labor process. One of them was very similar to a lot of these relaxation techniques I have heard. My dad tried so hard to read the script in the book and say it in a calm way and it reminds me of the way the man sounds in this one, and every other one I have heard, so it makes me laugh and think of my dad.
I had to listen to this exercise in my Managing Stress class also. I have a really hard time with these, like I said they make me laugh. The music was very soothing and reminded me of the music you would hear while getting a massage. I have tried this technique on many different occasions and cannot seem to get really relaxed. I wish this stuff relaxed me, but unfortunately it does not :( Comparing my muscles to wet sponges just doesn't do it for me...

My Journey

So I measured in on Sunday. I am down a total of 7 inches and 10 pounds in 28 days! I am so excited and feel even more motivated to continue and see what the next 4 weeks brings... Hot by 30 is looking like it might actually be a reality. Chris, my husband, lost a total of 3 1/2 inches, however, he did not stick to the diet plan very closely. He lost 6 pounds or so. SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!

I am very tired! However, I feel that I have made great accomplishments in this class. I am going to miss it so very much! I got my A & P II paper done and in on time, however it was not the greatest one I have ever written. I feel that my paper for this class was good and I am hoping for a good grade.
Brennan goes to the eye doctor next week to be officially tested for color blindness, so we will know a lot more then. Aunyka is still doing well. She seems like she might be getting another cold, but I think it is related to teething. Kylie is counting down the days until school is out and she doesn't ever have to go back there. She is so excited about being home schooled next year!
Chris and I measure in Monday! We cheated and took pictures at 20 days in so we can see if there is a difference, and man there was! So now I am even more excited to measure in to see how many inches came off. I feel healthier and really enjoying the workouts. Brennan enjoys doing them as well...
I will continue to post an updated blog every so often so if anyone wants to read them they can! I will definitely post the results from the P90X! Good luck everyone I hope to see you all in future classes it has been awesome!

OK so now we are in week three almost week four of our workout program. We get to measure in at the end of next week. I am so excited. Friends of mine that I see about once a week said that I am slimming down a lot. That makes me feel good.
I am very sad for this to be the end of this class. I have really enjoyed this class and all of my classmates. I have learned a lot throughout this semester. Brennan is sad for it to end too. It made his day every week when the instructor talked to him.
On a plus note, all of my kids are in good health this week. Kylie is doing well in school, she is very excited the school year is almost over. Aunyka may have to see a specialist because she is not walking yet. The doctor said if she is not walking by the time she is 18 months, so by May, she has to go. We are trying really hard to get her to walk, but she would rather crawl. We will just have to keep working with her. Brennan goes to the doctor today for a well check. We will find out for sure if he is color blind and why he still walks on his toes.
Well good luck to everyone and I hope to see you in future classes!

Well in week two of our P90X workout, and it is going great! My clothes are fitting looser and I feel so good. I am looking forward to seeing day 30!
Aunyka is feeling a little better, but it had to go through the other two children first. Luckily they didn't get it quit as bad. Kylie just had to miss one day of school. Brennan was just not feeling good for a couple of days, but now he is back to his wild self. I bought him Toy Story today and now I am sick of watching it; we have watched it three times already...
Kylie is now enrolled in home school. She will start August 4th and she is so excited. She wants to stop the school she is in now and stay home, but I explained why she couldn't.
July cannot come fast enough! I am looking forward to the time away, although I am going to miss my kiddos. I need the break though, 24 hours 7 days a week is a long time without a break...
